The Faculty Council of Tourism and Hotels conferred Master's Degree in Hotel Studies to Zakaria Fayez Yousef Al-Khuwaisk upon the public discussion of his thesis held at the Faculty building. The thesis was entitled "Diversity management practices in food and beverage section in hotels: The influencing role of organizing culture".

The thesis was under supervision of:

Prof. Dr. Menna Omar Barakat  and Dr. Islam Al Bayoumi

The Discussion and Arbitration committee was formed as follows:

• Dr. Menna Omar Barakat, Professor Emeritus at the Department of Hotel Studies and former Dean of the Faculty - Chairman and Supervisor
• Dr. Hanan Qattara, Professor at Department of Hotel Studies and former Dean of the Faculty               
• Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Professor of Hotel Studies in the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Fayoum University and Vice President of Fayoum University for Education and Students Affairs.
